A landmark in education, community, and facade engineering
The Inverurie Community Campus in Aberdeenshire is a state-of-the-art redevelopment designed by Halliday Fraser Munro and built by Robertson Construction. Completed in 2022, the £56 million project replaced aging school facilities with a comprehensive campus that includes:
One major design challenge was the window setting-out and façade rhythm. Kalzip’s technical team supported the architects by supplying profiles in three different widths, creating visual interest and maximising material efficiency.
The result is a fluid, irregular pattern that blends beautifully with the natural tones of the surroundings—resembling timber while delivering aluminium’s superior performance.
The system also includes perforated profiled panels, used to define space between public and semi-public areas, and provide light filtration in front of glazed surfaces.
Kalzip’s aluminium standing seam profiles with PVF2 and stucco embossed finishes ensure exceptional resistance to moisture, wind, and thermal stress. The installation comes with a 25-year guarantee, but is engineered to deliver a minimum 40-year service life—proving that design excellence and environmental endurance can go hand in hand.
