About the event

Istanbul is one of the few cities where Byzantine, Ottoman and contemporary architecture coexist within a constantly evolving urban landscape. This event explores how centuries of craftsmanship, material innovation and urban transformation continue to influence façade design today. Through keynote lectures, guided architectural walks, technical discussions and editorial conversations, participants will examine building envelopes as cultural artefacts, environmental systems and contemporary design tools. Hosted by Fools for Façades, the Istanbul edition brings together an international community of architects, façade consultants, material manufacturers and researchers to exchange ideas while experiencing one of the world's most architecturally significant cities.
